Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is a ministry through which adults prepare to receive the Sacraments of Baptism (if not already received), Eucharist (Holy Communion), and/or Confirmation.
The process involves a journey in faith during which there is prayer, scripture, and reflection on the tenets of the Catholic Faith. The Sacred Scripture, Sacred Tradition and the Magisterium of the Church provide a map for the journey.
