Parish Pastoral Council

The Parish Pastoral Council serves as a representative body of the people of Saint Anthony Parish.  The primary role of the Council is to serve in an advisory capacity to the Pastor regarding continuing pastoral planning.

Parish Pastoral Council members, in communication with our fellow parishioners, represent the voice of the Saint Anthony community in providing advice and counsel to our Pastor on matters concerning the integrity, the objectives and the implementation of the parish mission. The council regularly meets with the Pastor to discuss and deliberate on matters concerning the quality of parish life.

The principal focus of the Council is on the seven elements that form the essence of our parish mission;

  • Evangelization
  • Worship
  • Word
  • Community
  • Service
  • Stewardship
  • Leadership

The Parish Pastoral Council is charged with the stewardship of all areas of Saint Anthony parish life including;

  • The conservation and preservation of the heritage and legacy of Saint Anthony Parish.
  • The development and maintenance of the Parish Pastoral vision.
  • Communication within the parish community and with the local community at large.
  • Assessing the needs of the parish and of our local community.
  • Providing consensus derived recommendations for solutions to meet those needs.

The members are representatives of the broad church community selected by the Pastor from candidates proposed by an independent nominating committee.  The members embody a diverse cross section of the Saint Anthony community and are asked to serve defined terms of service to insure periodic transition of the membership.

Members of the Parish Stewardship Council are your representatives in the guardianship of our parish mission and of our heritage and legacy.  Get to know who your Parish Council members are and let them know what is on your mind.  Your voice will be heard.
